UNION RECORDER. MIULEDCEVILLE. CA. r SEPTEMBER 27. 1928 HANSEL HALL GOES TO WEST PALM BEACH AFTER STORM Mr. Hannel Hall, owner and build er of a number of houses in West Palm Beach. Fla., hurried to the storm area when it was learned that twenty-five per cent of all houses were blown away and ninety per cent damage.] in West Palm Beach. Mr. Hall has constructed one hun dred and ten houses in West Palm Bench and of this number not a single one w.as damaged. The en tire loss to the houses built by Mr. Hall was covered by five hundred dollars. The people there insisted that he remain in the storm area and assist in reconstructing houses and th;* re-organization of the section. He will remain there several months. The fact that the Hall Houses escaped the terrific gale .and flood with Mich little damage speaks of the wonderful building ability of Mr. Hall. SANDERSVILLE MEN INJURED IN AUTOMOBILE WRECK Mr. F. 0. Frank. And Dock Enjr- lish, a negro, were hurt in an auto mobile wreck near the home of Mr. F. E. Watson last Friday morning about ten o'clock. Both men were from'Snndersville, and driving a truck of the M. L. Gross Poster Co. They were coming into the Macon high way on a side road, when the truck turned over. Both men were pain fully injured, and were brought to this city by Mr. Ralph Simmerson who happened by. and "‘.tried to the offices of Dos. Binion, Scott and Mobley, where they were given treat ment. They were carried to the hos pital and later during the day to their homes in Sandersville. HYMAN NOMINATED At a convention of the Democrats of the Twentieth Senatorial District held Sandersville Wednesday of last week Hon. J. E. Hyman mui named aa nominee to represent the District in the Senate of the General Assembly. A resolution was parked approving and adhering to the rotation system of naming the Senator. The following Executive Commit tee was named: Baldwin County—Hon. Marion Allen and Col. Carlisle Giles. Hancock—Sam H. Wiley and G. B. Moore. Washington—Mrs. E. E. West, J. K. Pate. Dr. D. E. McMaster, Sr., and E. W. Jordan. The delegates were guests of Mr. Hyman at luncheon. TAX BOOKS OPENED Mr. L. D. Smith, Tax Collector of Baldwin county has opened his hooks for the payment of State and county taxes. His office is in the room formerly occupied by the Chamber ol‘ Commerce in the Kidd Building on East Hancock street. He will be assisted in the collection of taxes by Mrs. Ben Bass. T. B. COXWELL WITH CREW GOES TO STORM AREA Mr. T. B. foxwell with a crew of workmen left Monday for West Palm Beach, Fla., where they will assist in repairing thn storm stricken area. They expect to be in Florida, until next May. Those necompaning Mr. Coxwell were: Messrs M. Coxwell, E-.rl Cox well. Bob Sutton, R. G. Dunn. W. N. Giles. Henry Giles, T. II.
