The Dodge Sedan of Mr. E. E. Bell
was struck by a Ford Sedan driven
by Will Liggans. a colored taxi opera
tor, at the interesection of Clark and
Hancock streets early Tuesday even
ing. The sedan was turned over and
badly damaged.
Miss Janie Binford was in the
Sedan, being carried to her home on
North Clark street from the store of
Mr. Bell, where she is bookkeeper.
She was badly shocked, and her face
was cut and bruised, but she was
not seriously hurt. She was carried
to the home of Mrs. J. W. Ivey near
by and her injuries treated by Dr.
Richard Binion, who was called. It
is believed that the slow drizzling rain
which was falling blinded the vision
of the drivers, both of whom escaped
without injury.
HALLOWE’EN PARTY AT UNION
POINT FRIDAY NIGHT
There will be a box supper and
Hallowe’en celebration at Union
Point school house Friday night,
commencing at eight o'clock. Plenty
of fun is promised all who attend.
