Mr. J, A. Hubbard aged 72 years,
died at thc home of his non, Mr. J. W.
Hubbard, in South Baldwin, this
morning. He had been in ill health
a number of years.
Thc funeral will be held at Camp
Creek church this (Thursday) after
noon at three o’clock. Rev. J. F. Mc-
Cluncy officiating. Mr. Hubbard is
survived by two sons, J. W. Hubbard
of Baldwin and Col. E. B. Hubbard,
of Irwinton,_ and four sisters, Mrs.
Whitney, Mrt. Batson and Mrs. Pot
ter, all of Macon, and Miss Lucy
Hubbard of Midway.
Mr. Hubbard was one of Baldwin
county's substantial citizens, and was
an employee of the State Sanitarium
for forty-five years. For thirty years
he and Mrs. Hubbard had charge of
the children at that institution. He
was a member of Mt Pleasant Bap-
tte church for many years.

Mrs. J. B. Brookins died at her
homo at Cooperville Monday morn
ing after an illness with pneumonia.
The funeral and burial were at Mt.
Pleasant church Tuesday afternoon.
Rev. J. L. Lawrence officiating.
Mrs. Brookins was a daughter of
thc late Mr. J. S. Pearce, and was
about fifty years of age. She was
a member of the Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband and
one son, Theadore; four brothers, R.
W. Pearce, Macon; F. G. nnd D. S.
Pearce, Baldwin county; L. L.
Pearce, of Macon; two sisters, Mr-.
L. C. Allen and Mrs. W. H. Wilis of
