IN MEMORY OF W. C. PITTS
Mr. W. C. Pitts died at his home
in Wilkinson, county near Ivey Sta
tion Februnry Cth.
The passing of Mr. Pitts took away
one of the community’s most beloved
men, and to » close n life that hns
been well spent. He was 43 years
old, he was laid to rest at Snow Hill
cemetery. When the time came for
him to lay down life's burdens and
go home to be forever with his Lord,
he was dot afraid to meet God for
he had trusted and loved God, His will
he sought to do. He npplied himself
to the duties and task and thus bind
ing us to him with cords of love.
As a neighbor he was a model for
all who knew him, no one knew how
to estimate his true worth.
God sent his Angels with snow
white wings to hear him away to that
bright heavenly home so bright and
fair, no pain no death can enter there.
Its glittering towers no sun out
shines that heavenly mansions shall
be thirio.
We miss thy kind and willing hnnd,
thy fond and carnset care, our homes
are dark with out thee. We miss
him everywhere.
He is in that heavenly home blessed
land of light, wh^re the flowers bloom
forever and the sun. is always bright.
He is survived by his wife who was
Miss Mattie Holder before her mar
riage, an aged mother, two sisters,
one brother, ai|d a large numbe*- of
relatives and friends.
But saddest of all is his compaion
broken hearted crushed, while the
shadow of despair hover near her
she looks to that blessed reunion, ,
Sleep on dear Will and take thy
rest, God culled you home when He
thought it best, your troubles and
trials hns ceased and in Heaven your [
soul has found its peace. Oh, the tic
that bounds us to him with such true 1
and lustir/r love is not broken tin but
lengthened to the Father’s house
Till then God will keep him safely
tho cur hearts will miss him sore
then will come the blessed reunion
to be shadowed never more.
