She. curly in life joined the Metho dist church at Dccpstcp and since that time has lived a consistent rhrist-like life. To knew her was to love her—such a devoted wife and mother, loving and dutiful daughter and sister, true friend and neighbor. You don't have to be mayor, presi dent of u civic club, head of a bunk or a store to be important; your vote counts just as much as that of any junker, doctor, lawyer, mur- chant, or city official, and it’s the munity—the things you do for or against it—that makes it alive or dead, good or bad, forging ahead or standing still. When industry considers your town, it is the people they want to know about, not just the few shining light.- — the big boys alone—and have their nun study. It’s you they “feel out,” often without your knowing it, and on you, your attitude, how you look at, act toward, and talk about your community, depends on whether their report is favorable for -a new factory, distributing point, head quarters for representatives, or for whatever they are considering your As a citizen you are a salesperson for your cor .munity the same as a clerk is a salesperson of a store; the merchants, bankers and professional people arc the same ns department heads of u store, und the policemen of your community are the floor walkers. It’s always up to the sales force of any business. Yotfr town is a busi- nes- your business—ufcu! just the plaining to the last, still thinking of others..
