The ceremony was perform ed at the home of the bride’s brother, Mr. Emmett E. Vaughan, 1015 Adrian street in Augusta. The bridal couple were unattended, but little Rozzie Lee Vaughan carried the ring in a lilly. Miss Arvonia Syemorr played the wedding march. LEON CALLAWAY ENTER TAINS BRIDGE CLUB Mrs. Leon Callaway entertained on Friday afternoon the members of her bridge club at a delightful party at her home on the hill. The tables were arranged in the living room which was beautifully decorated in spring flowers. Mrs. Conn was uwarded top score prize for the afternoons play. Delicious refreshments were served. MRS. Mrs. John Osborn and little son, have returned to their home in Baltl- •after a visit to Mrs. Osborn’s mother, Mrs. J. B. Holt. Geo. W. Griner has return ed from Atlanta, where she under went an operation at the Georgia Baptist Hospital. Her health has greatly improved. Mr. H .E. Montague, of Atlanta, representing the State organization of the Y. M. C. A., was in the city short while Wednesday. He was interested in a state wide campaign the Y. M. C. A., which is soon to commence. John, the young son of Rev. John F. Yarbrough, is convalescing after an acute attack of appendicitis. He was ill for several days and his father was called home from Augusta where he was assisting in revival services. A consultation of physi cians deemed that an operation would not be necessary at this time. Mr. Newcomer is connected the Electrik Maid Bake Shop, and has made a fine impression upon all who have met him since he came to the city. The bride is a daughter of the late Mr. Emmett Vaughn, who left this city when a young man and went to Augusta to live. She is a sweet ami attractive young lady and was popu lar with a large circle of friends in Augusta. Mr. and Mrs. Newcomer are making their home in apartments at the residence of Mr.-. S. J. Allen was hostess on Saturday afternoon at a tea from four to six in honor of Mrs. J. T. Ellett of Statham Island who is her guest this week. Mrs. Allen, Mrs. EUctt, Mrs. C. L.
