Bell Host To Employees At Delightful Supper Away from business and the hum of the city, Mr. E. K. Bell and his mployecs made their retreat last Thursday afternoon to the country home of Mr. W. H. Montgomery where a delicious supper was served and an afternoon of fun enjoyed. It was a special privilege of the; writer to be included in the group n it only as an ex-employee of Mr. | Bell, but as a representative of the, Union Recorder. The occn-ion wns one that will stand out in our memories not only for th* rare opportunity of enjoy ing the hospitality of Mr. Bell, but to mingle with the corps of fine peo ple that axe connected with the store. The setting was ideal for such occasions. Protected from the late aftern. on sun by the gigantic oaks and elms that urruund the Mont gomery home, cooled by the fresh, invigor iting breeze that blew across the bill, and cr.Urtuined by the call of the boh white, the cry of Joy and Cardinal intermingled with the sweet, musical notes of the mocking bird, no spot could have been selected that, could have brought tne crowd closer j together and given them that feelin" of freedom and good fellowship that such an occasion offers. Mr. Bell as usual was the cordial, genial host that he has proven him self on many occasions. It was his desire that everybody prr-ent en joy to the fullness of them.-elves the afternoon’s outing and >piaking for ourselves and we feel sure we voice the sentiment of every one present, it was one of the delightful event ■ live The « V ; ,.
