7 v y wwv The Baldwin County Sunday School Convention will hold ita nual meeting at Mount Pleasant Church Sunday afternoon. September 15th. according to an announcement made by Mrs. B. B. Anderson, presi dent of the Baldwin County Sunday School Association. The Convention will begin at 1:30 o’clock and a great time is expected of fellowship, information, and inspi ration. All Sunday School workers ore cordially invited to be present Come with the idea in inind both to help and be helped, in making the Sun day Schools of Baldwin county bet- The theme ;or the meeting is “Knowing and leading." and assist ing the local people with the pro- gram will be a reprerentative of the Georgia Sunday School Association and several outstanding Sunday School workers, expert in their line. These names and the program will appear in a later issue of this paper. Watch the paper for the program! Every School in the county is ex pected to be represented at thi- meet ing. Special recognition will be given to the school with the largest number of delegates present in pro portion to the distance travelled. Sunday School Superintendents and Pastors are asked to take note of this and see that a fine attendance i« worked up from their school. Rev. John F. Yarbrough, has announced that evening services will be resumed at the Methodist church next Sunday, Sept 1st Dur ing the month of August Sunday PREACHED HERE SUNDAY Dr. F.lam F. Dempsey, Presiding Elder of the Oxford District, preach ed at the Milledgeville MethodUt church Sunday morning, and helu the Third Quarterly Conference in the evening services were suspended at afternoon. He fileld the pulpit of the the Methodist church, as Mr. Yar- Midway Methodist church in the brough assumed the duties of Rev., evening, and at the conclusion o* the F. H .Harding as chaplain at the' services held the conference. State Sanitarium and preached at the institution Sunday afternoon, and later held serveies at Allen’s Invalid Hume. Mr. Yarbrough ha a spent most of the present month in the city, be ing al^ent only a day or two at the time, when he went to Lincolnton to be with his children, who were visit ing there. He has performed the pastoral work in the city, regardless of denominations, as the pulpits of all the churches have been vacant. Mr. Yarbrough is held in the high est esteem and love not only by the members of the Methodist congrega tion but by the people of the entire comniunity.
