Orange Filling
1 cup "range juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Grated rind of 2 oranges
2 tablespoons corn starch
Brine to boil, 1-3 cup sugar and
1-2 cup water, add alone ingredients
well mixed. Boil until thick, add 2
tablespoons butter and 2 egg yolks,
after removing from fire (mix the
com starch with the orange juice

Corn Sticks
-2 cup flour
cup buttermilk
-2 cup water
teaspoons baking powder
teaspoon salt
teaspoon sugar
tablespoons lard or butter
lixand beat well. Cook in quick

Angel Cake
Whites of 8 eggs
1-1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cream of tarter
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup flour
1 1-4 cups sugar
Add salt to eggs, then cream of
tarter. Beat until stiff. Add sugar
and flour slowly, vanilla last.
Cook in round pan one hour.
