Dempsey, Presiding F.lder of the Orford District, will be in the city Saturday and Sundny for the purpose of holding the fourth quarterly conferences of the Metho dist churches. The fourth quarterly conference is most important to the churches, as the year’s work is brought to a clo e as near as possible, report are made and officers .mr t named for another year. Dr. Dempsey will preach in the morning at half-post eleven o’clock, and administer the saers- At the conclusion of the service a basket dinner will be served. The confidence will be held in the af,ter- The Milledgeville circuit is coin- p- ed of the following churches: Bethel. Pleasant Grove. Stevens lottery. Union Hill. Hopewell and Montpelier, with Rev. J. H. Farr Mr. Farr has served as pastor of the Milledgeville Circuit six years, and has established himself in the confidence and esteem of the mem bers of his congregations. Milledgeville Cbargo Dr. Dempsey will fill the pulpit of the Milledgeville Methodist church Sunday morning, at 11:80 o’clock. Dr. Dempsey served .as pastor of this church four years, and has a large number of friends here, who are al ways glad to hear him. The conference will be held at the church in the afternoon. Hardee one of Bald win county’s well known citizen* and farmer, died .at hi- daughters* home. Mr,. B. N. Morrison of this ci^-. Mr. Hardee was in ill health for seventeen months and everything and favoi possible was done for his recovery. After i but he gradually grew worse.
