Such n week does the writer hope may >ome day be a reality. But if we never start—we Four years ago, the idea of Ap- precratvm Week centering around Thanksgiving Day was started in this historic city and sponsored by the Woman's Club. The next year, the Tenth District adopted the idea, and here and there over the state various club- took it up, sometimes giving a program, sometimes having a special edition of their local paper to carry out the idea. It is not supposed to be a week of special activity—but of thought and prayer—and thank fulness. Of trying to not only re member our own blessings but to help others do the same, and “Lest We Forget” to center our activity upon stressing the Thanksgiving sendee and reminding our friends of the day and hour. Appreciation Week has had the seal of approval set upon ic by the Governor of our State, L. G. nard- mnn. Bishop Wmren A. Candler, Dr. E. F. Dempsey, Judge James B. Park. Dr. Duggan, and Willi.-. Sutton, and many other notables in the re. ligious and educational world have given it their endorsement. Rend the outline of the week which appears on this page, think about it, and you will be surprised to know what blesings have been yours this past year. Would It not he well to “Praise God from Whom all Ble-ings Flow” during this week set aside for that special purpose? Remember the sendee on Thanksgiving Day.
