Mrs. E. A. Leonard has moved to
Atlanta, Ga., where she will make her

Matthews move back in their mist

Mr. Ber. Simpson is building sev
eral new houses near the Christian
church.
Mr. George Ross, Sr., and Jr., left
Saturday on a big hunting trip in
Florida.
Mr. George Kemp is back home
again, after spending some, time in
Florida.
Miss Myrtle Lnmax is visiting rela
tives in Cochran this week.
There were many to enjoy the
nurses dance at the Georgia State
Sanitarium Saturday night
Mrs. W. N. Ainsworth’s house will
be occupied by Miss Willie Pearl
Veal, and her father.
The many friends of Mr. Tom Far
rell regret to hear of his illness and
wh:h him a speedy recovery.
Mr. W. A. Hemphell is moving in
one of the new houses of Mr. Ben
Simpson.
Mr. Lewis Janes fs recovering af
ter having his tonsil- removed.
Miss Ella Bentley, of Newark, New
Jersey is visiting her sister, Mrs. F.
G. Little.
Miss Eudell Ham wns called to her
home at Hopewell on account of her
father’s illness.

Mr. Thomas Smith visited in Ma
con Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Lavender are
very proud of their little grandson,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lavender,
of Macon, he shall be caUcd Ralph
Veron.
There will be Sunday School at the
Methodfct, Baptist, and Christian
churrhe.^ Suidny morning at toon
o’clock, and also preaching services
at the Methodist and Christian
churches at eleven o’clock Sunday
morning and seven-thirty Sunday
The Christian Endeavor will meet
at the Christian church Sunday night
have their program from seven til

ed.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Humphrey
are very proud of their little new
b»y nnd he will be called Albeit
Scott
Mr. J. T. McCrary came into the
Union Recorder Saturday and paid
his subscription for another ye)ar,
which will mark his fiftieth as a
reader of the Union Recorder.
Mr. McCrary is one of Baldwin's
ddest and most honored citizens. M I
have told all my boys, he said, that
they will have to subscribe for the
Union Recorder for I want everyone
of them to have it in their home. It
is Baldwin county’* paper and it has
always been the best weekly in Geor
gia, I expect to have it come to me
until I die Mr. McCrary declared.
Mr. McCrary has been a citizen of
this county all his life and has con
tributed in every way to make it a
county we can all be proud to live
in. He is still active on his farm and |
interested in the welfare of his c
munity. Mr. McCrary is one of
most beloved citizens.

help during our recent illness. We
appreciate each of you calling by and
inquiring after us. We appreciate
every prayer that was offered in our
behalf. We feel that prayer had
much to do with onr recovery. We

dark hour. Their wise, kind, and
