Lieut. Wilbur Vinson, of the U.
S. Army, who has been stationed at
Fort Bennington, haa been ordered
to the Phillipine Island*, and will
rail from New YorL on January 1st.
Lieut. Vinson has been granted a
furlough until that date, and he and
Mrs. Vinson and little son are visit*
ing his parents, Mr. and Mrs. I
Vinhon, in this city. Both Lieut,
and Mri. Vinson have many friends

1 level tablespoon gelatine
2 cups milk
1-2 cup sugar (scant)
2 1-4 teaspoon salt
3 eggs
1 cup orange juice
Soak the gelatine in the milk for
minutes. Place over hot water and
when gelatine is dissolved add su
gar. Pour slowly on the yolks of (
.’Kgs, well beaten, return to double'
boiler and cook until somewhat
thickened. Stirring constantly. Re
move from stove and add salt, or

until stiff. Line sides and bottom
of bowl with lady fingers and when
gelatine mixture begins to thicken
add alternate layers of lady finger*
and the gelatine mixture. Place in
refrigerator and let stand several
hours. Serve with whipped cream.
Souerraut En Casserole
1 can Souerkraut
1 cup tomato juice (more if liked)
1 can Vienna sausage
About 0 slices breakfast bacon.
Place souerkraut in baking dish and
pour over it the tomato juice. Top
with the sausage and breakfast ba
con. place in oven and bake until
bacon is cri;p.

the Alumnae Association of the
Georgia State College for Women,
and President and Mrs. J. L. Beeson,
attended the Alumnae Luncheon at
the Winecoff Hotel in Atlanta, on
Saturday November 23.

a hundred graduates of the college.
Good cheer abounded, as did college
reminiscences.

Orange Pie
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
2 1-2 level tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup boiling water

Blend sugar and cornstarch. Add
boiling water. Cool until thick. Re-

The weather has been disagreeable
for the past week, and the tempera
ture went nearly to freezing in this
section the latter part of last week.

Chicken Croquette*, Macedoine
3 t'i bit-spoons butter
1 i.hallot finely chopped
1-4 cup flour
] teaspoon salt
1-4 teaspoon poprika
1-8 teaspoon pepper
Few gratings nutmeg
Yolk of 3 eggs
1 cup cold cooked chicken, cut
dice
1-2 cup boiled hum, cut in dice
1-4 cup mushroons, cut in small
pieces.
1 cup chicken stock
Melt butter, add shallot, and cook
three minutes, fftfraijig constantly.
Add flour, mixed with seasonings,
and stir until well blended, pour
chicken stock gradually, .add remain*
ing ingredients, cook five minutes,
and spread on plate to cool. Shape,
roll in eggs and bread crumb*, fry in
deep fat, and drain on brown paper.

Army, has been on crutches since

bunting for the first time in several
years. In jumping from a log, he

are leaving for Tignall, Ga., where
they will make their home.
