marks fifty years of happy wedlock.

home for forty-nine of those years.

After a honeymoon in South Geor
gia, the young couple came to live
on the old Humphries place where
a few years later the present home
was built
Golden Chrysanthemums made the
parlor bright and gay, and loving
friends and relatives showered the
couple with good wishes and gifts.
At one o'clock a wedding dinner
that was a dinner, was on a long
table in the dining room. Barbecue,
chicken, salads, sylabub, jellies and
cakes-were served by Mrs. Walter
Green, Mrs. Robert Watson and Mr.
John Styles,

1 can English peas
3 cups cooked rice
2 onions
1 can pimentoes
Little bacon fat
Salt and pepper
Chop onions and fry in fat.
other ingredients and cook in

Marshmallow Padding
Dissolve 1 tablespoon of Knox
Gelatin in 1-3 cup cold water, or
fruit juice.
1-3 cup hot water
Whites of 4 eggs beaten
With 3-4 cup sugar
Fold in whites and put in Cherries
and nuts.
Velvet Spcnge Cake
Two cups sugar
6 eggs, leaving out whites of 3 J
1 cup boiling water
2 1-2 cups flour
1 tablespoon Royal Baking Porr-1
der in flour

trip here in an automobile, without
any delay. She was practically in

when the automobile she was driving
stuck in the mud. and she had to get
assistance to be pulled out. The road
she was passing over was being pre
pared for paving.
