to be held in Milledgeville early in
February. Dr. Scott has accepted the
invitation of the Association to ad
dress the visiting Fair Official? from
Georgia and adjoining Suites on the
subject “Advantages to Fairs Derived
from Teaching of Agricultural and
Rural Life Subjects in Colleges.
Dr. Scott was the first College
Professor in the Eastern States to
introduce the teaching of Agricul
ture in College. He has l»een a mem
ber of the faculty .at the Georgia
State College for Women for many
years and is an authority along Agri
cultural Education lines.

ferred to Washington, D. C.. and will

office. The news of the excellent
promotion is received with interest

SCHOOL TEACHERS TO BE PAID
Supt. P. N. Bivins announces that
teachers will lie paid their salaries
before the Christina- Holidays.
President Hooten has called a meet
ing of the Board of Education for
Monday, December 23. Teachers and
truck drivers are required to file
their reports not later than Saturday,
December, 22, in order to receive
their pay on the following Monday.

Col. Sam Wilkes, representative of
the Georgia Railroad in this territory

Greensboro Civic Club last week com
menting upon the roads service to the
public.

The Agricultural Department,

tin quarterly setting forth the ad
vantages of this section and the en
tire South. It is mailed to more than
ten thousand addresses in the United
States, and a large number to Ger
many, France, England, Poland and
th»- Hawaiian Islands. These Bulle
tins arc largely read.
The Georgia Railroad shop men
compose a hand which is second to
none. There is an officiul orchestra
