Whipped Cream Cake*
30 vanilla wafers
1-2 pint of whipping cream
4 tablespoonful- of powdered J»u-
gar.

Whip cream until it hold* iti
ehape well. Add the sugar and va-
n.ua and mix moroughly. Allow fi\e
wafers for each porr n to be served.
Spread one wafer with a generous
hit of whipped cream, lay another on
top, and proceed as if you were icc-
ing a five-layer miniature cake. Cov
er the eidei and top with the cream,
.sprinkle with fresh, moist coroxnut
and store in cold place for 12 hours.
Garnish with a cherry and .serve on
individual plates.
Delicious Apple Pm
1 cupful of milk or cream
1-2 cupful of sugar
1 lablespoonful of flour
2 egg yolks
2 apple*
Mia milk, sugar, flour and egM
(thoroughly. Line a pie tin with
pastry and add the peeled apples,
cut fine. Cover with milk mixture.
Place strips of pastry, cut thin, over
the pie in bitticc fashion, and bak<

Molded Cheese Salad
4 tablcspoonfula of gelatine
2 cupfuls of boiling water
1 1-2 pounds of cheese
1 green pepper
Dash red pepper
1 bottle stuffed olives
1 cupful of pecan m»i meats
9 pimento*
1-2 teaspoonful of salt
1-2 pint of whipping cream
Soak the gelatine in co'd water
and db-sohre in two cupfuls of holing
water, cool grind cheese, green
peppers, stuffed olives, nutmeatu and
pimentos Add salt and red pepper.
Whip the cream. Now mix the vege
table mixture with the gelatine and
fold in the whipped cream. Pour
into a square mold to harden. Slice
and serve on lettuce with any good
mayonnaise. This is especially good
with a fish course.

1 pt. boiling water
1-2 cup blanched almonds

12 mararchino cherries, caircely

6 macaroons crushed
1-4 cup sugar
1-4 teaspoon .‘alt
1 cup heavy cream, whipped.
Dissolve Jell-0 in boiling water.
When cold and slightly thickened
beat with rotary cgg-be.aUr unt.l
consistency of whipped cream.
Mix and add cherries, nuts, marsh
mallows, macaroons, salt and sugar.

mold. Chill until firm. Serve in slices
—Serves 8.

Nat Bread
2 eggs
1 scant cup nugar
4 cups of flour (after sifted)
1 cup sweet mill:
1 heaping tahlespoon butter
1 tablespoon baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 cupa chopped nuts
1 cup cumnts
Boat egs and sugar together
til light ;add flour, salt and baking
powder (sifted together). Then
milk, chopped nuts and currants.
Put m warm plac' to rise 20 min
utes. Pour in greaseu pan and bnke ii
moderate oven—about 43 ninutes.
