I mas say here that I deeply re gretted to hear of Mrs. Alice McCraw’s death. Mivt Alice as she was affectionately known was one of my special friends and I always enjoyed talking to her. Her philoso phy of life was inspirational and her ispp; disposition always made me enjoy life so much more. The month of February usually brings as disagreeable weather as any month in the year, bat this far this month it ras mad ae good rec ord. Ritchie's place at Memwether lest his barn wid three hundred bushels of corn by fire last Thurs day night. The loss falls heavily on Mr. Stevens as it was his full last year’s crop of corn.
