Leni Moore, we, the members of the
Woman’s Missionary Society Circle
No. 4 of the First Methodkt church,
Milledgeville, Georgia, wish to pay
Jrls tribute of love to her memory:
Therefore be it resolved:
That in her death our circle has
iost one of its most faithful and most
.oyal members.
That her life, her faith and her de
votion to duty will ever remain an
inspiring example to us all.
During her sojourn in Miiledge-
villc, her life and associations have
been closely allied with her church.
Her influence touched not only her
church but the entire community felt
the sweet permeating generosity of
a noble soul. Only her Master
knows the lives she influenced for
good, the hearts she gladdened in
daily contact with the public.
Her sweet Christian life i:
shining example of what ft; menr
be a child of God. The essence of
this beautiful life is written in the
hearts of all who knew her, and is
ever an inspiration leading us on
ward in our efforts to serve God and
to bo a brother to our fellowman.
We wish to express to her loved
ones our heartfelt sympathy and our
deep loss too, in her going and to
assure them that her going bring;
each of us closer to Jesu.*. whom she
loved and whom she served and closer
to the city of our God where she has
gone.

gia, on the death of Miss Leni Moore.
Whereas, our friend and co-work
er, Miss Leni Moore, has gone from
our midst to he with the Lord whom
she loved and served; and
Whereas, in her going the rijus
has sustained an irreparable loss,
Be it resolved, That we bow sub
missively to our Heavenly Father’s
will, realizing that he knows best.
While we sorrow deeply, we believe
she has entered into rest, and some
time, somewhere, we will understand.
That the influence of her sweet,
unselfish life encourages those of us
who are left here to carry on as
faithfully as she did, even unto
death.
That a copy of these resolutions

class, .and that copies be sent to the
family, and to the papers of Mil-

Hon. Joe B. Duke, of Eatonton.
has announced that he will offer
again this year a beautiful silver
loving cup to the G. M. C. cadet who
wint first place in the oratorical
contest to be held the latter part of
May.
Three years ago Mr. Duke made
Ifctjthe offer, and considerable interest
was aroused among the students. Up
on announcement of Mr. Duke’s offer
over thirty cadets entered the contest.
This number was cut to six, who

executed and delivered to Exchange
Bank of Milledgeville, Georgia, a
deed conveying the land hereinafter
described to secure a debt of $100.09,
evidenced by a promissory note dated
February 8, 1929, due October' 1,
1929, for $100.00, bearing interest
from maturity at eight per cent per
annum, signed by Willie Badie and
payable to said Bank.
The deed of conveyance is record
ed in the office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of said County in
Book of Deeds No. 12, page 498. Tbe
said deed contained full powers of
axle authorizing the said bank to sell
the land conveyed after advertising
the sale once a week for four weeks
upon default in the payment of said
note.
The said Willie Badie has default
ed in the payment of the principal
and interes tdue on said note and has
failed to pay taxes due on the land
hereinafter described.
Now, therefore. Exchange Bank
