COL. POTTLE AND THE FARMERS
CLUB
One of the divereiona in the life
of Col. Jos. E. Pottle, and one from
which he received much pleu*ure. wu*
his association with the members of
the Baldwin county Farmers Club.
He was a member of the cluh. and
filled the office of Secretary for a
number of years. He never missed
a meeting when in the city, and slid
his part in creating interest in the
work of the club. He will be sadly
misled by them for they knew him
and loved him.
The funeral and huri'tl services of
Mr. Will Winters was held at Matilda
Chapel, Stewns Pottery, at ‘three
o’clock Tuesday afterran. Rev. Mr.
Rutland officiating.
Mr. Winters was fifty-three years
of age, and died suddenly at hi*
home in Gordon Mondiy night, as
the result of a stroke of apoplexy.
He is survived by his wife, three
daughter*, two sons, one brother
and one sister.

morning. Rev. Mr. Rutland of the
Miiledgeville Circuit officiating. She
is survived by Mr. Brantley, five
daughters, one son t five sisters and
*even brothers.

not remove him from our county as
he would be missed.
The Georgia State Board of Health
has for free distribution in Bald
win county sufficient Toxin-Amitox-
ir to protect two hundred children
in the preschool age against dip-
theria.
That is, all parents who wish to
have their children between the
ages of six months and six years pro
tected against diphtheria, may secure
this preventive treatment by apply
ing at the Bald-Yin County Heauth
Office between this date and April
10th, 1930.
WOMAN’S MISSIONARY SOCIETY
MEETS MONDAY.
The regular monthly meeting of
the Woman's Missionary Society of
the Methodist church will be held
Monday aftemon, April 7th. At this
meeting the study of the new book
“Crowded Way” will be commenced,
under the efficient leadership of
Mrs. L. J. Rozar. The book will be
concluded at an all duy session Wed
nesday. The women of the church
are urged to be present.
