Morris has returned from a visit to her daughter. Mrs. DeWitt, in Atlanta. PRESBYTERIAN AUXILIARY CELEBRATES BIRTHDAY PARTY Members of the Presbyterian Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. C. P. Crawford Monday and cele brated the birthday of the organiza tion with a most delightful and en joyable party. The home was lovely in its decora tions of ro-cs and other cut flowers. After the guests had assembled and announced their birthday, they gave as many pennies as they were old to the cause of Christian education and ministerial relief. The occasion was a very happy one. The Union-Recorder office had a pleasant visit Tuesday afternoon from Judge E. L. Rainey, Chairman of the State Prison Commsision. Judge Roin'.*y visits the State Prison Farm frequently, but it is seldom he comes into the city. He is an able and capable man, and is directing the pris on system of Georgia in a business way. Mr. Floyd Hcmdridoon is in n sanitarium in Macon, where he is un dergoing treatment for an ea: trouble. The latest reports from him were that he was getting along well a» could be expected. One of the interesting events of the G. M. Commencement exercises: will be Monday mcrrir.g, when rev-, oral r.f the orators of the cadet* battalion will contest for the Duke cup. They should be greeted by a large audience, at good speeches will! be made by al lof them, and the con test wli be close. They have been trained by Major Sam Whatley.
