If you want to spend a pleasant
evening, go to see George Bancroft
and Mary ‘Actor in Ladies Love
Brutes, the picture which is showing
at your local theater tonight and
Thursday. George gives you the us

himself from a very hard situation.
This star has won his way into many
hearts by playing the roles of real
he-man. He won't disappoint y >u

One wouid hardly realize how lit
tle and insignificent a mere man is
unless he were one of the few
gentlemen that attended the play at
G*. S. C. W. last Thursday night. Al
though this specimen of the male

welcomed the sight of more of his
kind. Never-the-less the play, “when
Jane Takes a hand”, was fine. The

Taking Cardui.
Gicenwood, Miss.—Mrs. W. D.
Taylor, of 1313 Carrollton Avenue,
this city, has written of her use of
Cardui as follows:
“About five years ego. I was in
111 health. I Suffered a great deal
of pain In my sides and in the
lower part, of my body. I was weak
and nervous and at the least noise
I felt like I must scream.
“At times I would have to go to
bed. My head would ache. It
would take me three or four days
to get over these spells.
“A friend told me to take Cartful,
which I did. After my first bottle,
I saw some Improvement. Whsn I
had taken three bottles, I felt
stronger and better than I had in
some time. I did not have any
more of those bod spells.
“I certainly recommend Cardui.’*
Thousands of ottier women rec

it of valuable assistance to them
in building up their health.
Cardui Is a purely vegetable medi

from which Cardui is extracted have

This form of amusement is very
fascinating for both young and old,
and we hope that people arc going
to like it. It has met with a great
deal of success both in Atlnnta and
Macon. It is realy amusing to see
the many navel and intricate haz

trive to keep one from sinking the
golf ball “in par."
What is the fighting game com

that the little things make the big
things was seen last week in the

Last Sunday we observed Dad’s
Day. Although we look on our sweet
mothers os the angels in the home
must not forget that the Dads
deserve a lot of credit also. Let's
make of him something more than
just a csahier wherc we get our allow
ances. Let’s try to show him that we
love him and that we appreciate the
many things that he does. He may
r.ot stay at home ‘and tend to every
little thing that goes wrong here,
but why is he away ^working, often
s almost slaving? Why, its be
cause he wants to have a good home
for his family, he wants to see his
children well-clothed, he wants them
to have a better education and to
have life easier than he has had it.
