Dr. Binion stated that it Was his desire to have a modern hospital building in Miiledgevide, in order that every need of the people of this section can be met. Plans Formulated by Board of Directors At a meeting of the Board of Di rectors of the Georgia Fair Associa tion held Thursday afternoon pre liminary and substantial plans were formulated for holding the fair the week commencing October 6th. A contract was made with the Rice Bros., Carnival Co., whiyh is said to be one the largest and best com panies traveling. It has a large number of attractions. The Fair will be managed sub stantially aa last yea;-. President B. H. Dunaway will have general sup- of the fair, and all of its employees. He will he assisted by President E. E. Bell, who to gether with Captain J. II. Ennh will complete charge of the Carni- I>r. E. A. Tigner and Mr. E. E. val attractions. Secretary C. B. Mr. Truck Drivers Also Elected a Meeting of Board Tuesday. Five Schools to be Operated Teachers in the Baldwin county schools were elected at a meeting of the Baldwin County Board of Edu cation Tuesday and’ Superintendent P. N. Bivins has announced the re sult together with the truck drivers who will transport ‘he children to the schools. Five schools will be operated out side the citiy. Many of the county children will be brought to G. M. C. d the pmtice school at G. S. C. W. He is the dean of the medical profession in the county and one of the most popular men in the county. Dr. Binions appointment was an nounced by the Governor Wednesday. Dr. Binion has praticcd medicine here since 1918 and is prominently identified in the Business and social life of the city. He is head of the Milledgeville Clinic and Is recogniz ed as one of the state's leading physi cian . The Governor has not announced his appointment to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. Chus. C. Brantley who was secretary of the board. It is understood that thi- ap pointment will he made within a few days and that it will be a man from South Georgia.
