kins Place, H. C. Coles Milling Co.,
Carr Co., Whitfield Grocery j

could dispose of their surplus through
such a market and help carry on the
expenses of the farm. He also
showed how it helped the merchants
of the community where the market
was located by creating ready cash.
After the morning session, about
fifty farmers met back at the court
house and named a committee to
work with a Kiwanis committee lo

tee to take a number of farmers
and business men to Athens, today,
Thursday. This motorcade left Mil
ledgeville early this morning and
will spend the day in Athens. The
curb market and the college of agri
culture will be visited.
It is the plan of the committee to
open a curb market in May. A num
ber of farmers have signed up for
the market to produce rupplies. De
finite plans will be worked out at a
meeting next week.

and at the same time requested a
contribution for the work.
Plans are now being made by
citizens to organize a charity or
ganization with a membership com-,

that are scheduled there early in
April.
The troops will arrive here on
March 25th in time to spend the
night. The Fair Grounds will prob
ably be used for the encampment
on the hike.
The artillery unit will have more
than two hundred horses and over
three hundred men. They are ex
pected to arrive hero in the after
noon nnd leave early in the morn
ing. Plans are being made to e*.. t er-
tain the offices at a party at the
Country Club and to arrange other
entertainment for the men in the
battnllion.
