cind they catch at
Spring La :e—«u I've heard, hut you
can’t prove that by me because of the j
fish that the Judge brings home—
when h? brings any. They lo-ik
more like the little fish from the lily ,
pool at the Kchetah Country Club—
but that is all right. If the Judge
loves to fi‘h enough to be willing to
go again and again to catch the lit
tle things—it is certainly O. K. with
me. Tha* just proves he is a true,
sportsman and loves the sport for <
its own sake. I'm for it.
But to go back—there were some- |
where around fifty present at this i
dinner—and such a dinner! Yum— '
yum—I don’t know when I ever did
cat so much—and after that was all
over—they cleared the big room and
put away the tables —and set the
benches back against the wall—and ,
some more fun started. Three
brothers of the dark variety—came
in with three instruments .hat noon
started up a wild and jolly tunc that |
was a cross between Turkey-in-the- i
sjraw and Old-Dan-Tucker—and
consisted of only one line. This—they
played over and over until they
couldn’t hold out any longer and then
they stopped. But that was O. K.'
with me—the time was the thing af- '
ter all--what did it matter about the
variation of tune? And then—you
could have seen some old-time coun
try square dancing! With George
Hollinshead and Dr. Cox to “call”—■;
you may believe that the dancer-
swung their partners and picked up
their feet. It was—I think—the
opinion that Erwin Sibley and Broth
er Louie Andrews were the foxic.-t
“n-.-.vers” and could think up mor-
thing* to do with their feet. Uncle
Henry Wootten stood around nnd
jrrir’OPd and I think I almost caught
him puttin' his foot one time. Bro
ther Walter Stemhridge would come
out every now and then with a lit
tle yelp that sounded like he was
fixing to call his dogs to go fox
But that wa an hi :>•
game. I rather think that Stevart
Wootten and Culver Kidd had the
best time of anybody—expect all
the ladies. But I shall mention no
names—they were all there with the
goods and don’t you forget it. So
that everything would Le in good
and proper order and no alarming
reports get circulated—» * always
