Mrs. O. M. Ennis, Col. Marion
Ennis and little Miss Margaret Ennis
left Sunday for an automobile trip
that will take them to Chicago. They
will go by Washington and then to
New York where Miss Frances Ennis
will join thorn. From there they will
go on to Chicago, via Niagara Falls
and Canada.
Mrs. M. F. Davis underwent an
eye operation at Wesley Memorial
Hospital in Atlanta Saturday after
noon. She was accompanied to At
lanta by her daughter, Mrs. J- H.
Harper, of Miami, Fla., who was
visiting her. It is expected Mrs-
Davis will return to her home here
within the next ten days.
Mra. L. H- Andrews and Mr. Edwin
Andrews left Sunday for Savannah
to opend the veek at the Amfico
Club. Messrs. Joe and Louie Andrews
-leave today to join them for the re
mainder of the week.
Dr. Frank K. Dunn and wife and
son of Jackson, Miss-, spent the
week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Bicomer
Dumas. Dr. Dunn brought hi. fam-
ilv here for the Webster family re
union. He is State Secretary of the
Christian church in Mississippi.
BIRTHDAY.
On last Friday Mrs. M. E. God
ard entertained most delightfully in
honor of her little daughter, Hildah,
who was celebrating her fourth
birthday.
Mrs. Godard assisted by her sifter,
Mrs. Bob Durden, entertained the
little guests out on the lawn until
they were invited by Mrs. Posey, an
aunt of the hostess, into the lovely
dining room where white and pink
flowers were effectively used.
The table presented an attractive
scene. In the center wag a big white
cake with four pink candles, a howl
of delicious cookies on either end.
By every dish of cream and cake
each little guest was presented at
tractive favors beautifully wrapped
in a pink napkin. Near the little
hostess place was a tiny table care
fully arranged with the lovely pres
ents her little* frinds had bought
her.
The guest list included her grand
mother, Mrs. D. G. Durden. Misses
Mirian Hudson, Ann Gore, Sarah
Holrenback, Master Bobbie Smith.
W. L. and Bubber Johnson. Peter

WEBSTER FAMILY HOLDS
REUNION SUNDAY.

of the Webrter family gathered at
Brooks Spring Beach Sunday for a
family reunion and in celebraton
of the 79th birthday of Mr. R- D.
Webster of this city.
Four states were represented in
the assemble^ guests and many towns
• South and Central Georgia also

two hundred and fifty people at the

•ms food.

Bloomer Dumas of th's city, daugh
ters of Mr. Webster, fixed the large
birthday cake. The cake was of three
tiers and heavily embossed. It had
eventy-nine candles.

and many of them met each other
nr the first time. Mr. Webster

the day. He lives with his daughters
here and has> made friends since

Miss Ejdna Mae Ivey and Mr. J.
F. Blackwell were united in mar
riage September 24th. 1932. at
Akens, S. C., Mi» Ivey is ‘he daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Ivey, and
has been a nurse at the State Hos
pital for several years.
Mr. Blackwell’s home is in Honti-
cello, but haa made MIHedgeville his
home for some time.

A family reunion of the old Wilk-
erson family who came from North
Carolina back in the 70’s was held
at the lovely old home of the
