Armistice Day Celebrated
Impressively in Milledgeville
A colorful parade.and impressive
ceremonies at the G. S. C. W. audi
torium marked Milledgeville’* cele
bration of Armistice Day on last
Fr'day.
iWhile not over-elaborate,
ledfreville's celebration of Armistice
Day served to impress the public
mind with the fact that fifteen
yearr ago millions of soldiers la : d

conflict the world had ever known.
The celebration was under the di
rection of the Morris-Little Pot of
the American Lcg'ton and the Legion
Auxilary.
All business ended at twelve
o’clock and at one o’clock under the
commend of Capt. Frank Mansfield,
the parade started. Led by the G.
M. C. band and battallion, the Le
gion. Auxiliary and old Star Moth
ers mnde up the first group of

bring the pageant to a close. Miss
Helen Roberts represented Miss
Liberty and Mrr- Ennis was dressed
as the representa'ive of France. The

red. white, and blue dresres entered
carrying lighted candles and stood

inspiring. Rev. A. G. Harris, post;
chaplain, pronounced the benedic
tion.
Mi*; Maggie Jenkins, who played
the organ, and the G. M. C. band,
under the direction of Maj. Oster-
man, contributed to the program with
several selections.
