On Tusday aftemon Miss Dorothy
Parks who has been the recipient
of mnny parties since the announce
ment of her engagement to Mr. Earl
Hilburn. was again entertained at
a linen shower given by Mrs. Wright
McKnight.
A color scheme of white and
green was carried out in the flow
ers and decorations. In the dining
room a large wedding bell was hung
from the chandelier over the dining
table which was covered with a
handsome linen cloth. In the center
of the table there was placed a mir
ror upon which was a wedding i*:cnc j
with a miniature bride and groom, j
Silver candle stick* holding white
tapers tied with dainty white tulle
were placed in the rooms where the
guests were seated for bridge. Af
ter the bridge games .two delicious
courses were served, and fhon the
gifts of linen were presontd to teh,
bride.

named a member of the State Board
of Control, by Governor Tain.edge
to nueceed the late Dr. H. W. Shaw,

Mr. Pitner was a member ot the
Board of Trustee* of the Milledge-
vfllo State Hospital when the board
