Black Spring Tuesday.
Mr. James Thomas Medlin, after
seven years of ill health, passed away
at his home on the Miiledgcville
State Hospital Avenue, Sunday af
ternoon, January 7th, at five o’clock
with an attack of pneumonia.
Rev. J. F. McCtuney conducted the
funeral and burial services at Black
Spring church Tuesday afternoon at
taro o'clock in the presence of a
large number of relatives and friends
of the deceased. The pall-bearers
were grand-sons of Mr. Medlin, and
were as follows: Leon Medlin, Olin
Medlin, C. W. Torrence, Eugene
Viltaon and George Vinson.
Mr. Medl : n art* born in Baldwin
county, August 6th. 1862, and his
long life waa spent in this corrtmun-
itjr. For a number of years he en
gaged in farming, but for twenty
yearn ha wu a faithful employee at
the Allen Invalid Home until com
pelled to give up the position seven
years ago on account of ill health.
He waa of the Baptist faith, and
arms known and respected as an hon-
