Methodist church were entertained

MOTHER GOOSE PARTY
The Philathen Class of the B;ip-i*t
Sunday School and the YWA of that
church will have a (Mother Goose
Party Thurrdny night, February 15,
at the Men’s Bible class room. The
Queen of Hearts will be the hostess,
and all the guests will be in the cos
tume of characters of Mother Goose.
The Robert E Lee Chapter of the
Daughters of the Confederacy will
meet on Tuesday afternoon at four
o’clock at the home of Mrs. W. A.
Massey. The hostesses with Mra. Ma»-
sey will be Mrs. A- G. Lawrence and
Mrs. O. O. Banks.
Bin. George Fowler invited a few
of her little daughter, Georgennne’a
ds to celebrate her fifth birth
day on Tuesday morning. After the
ling was spent in playing games,
delicious ice cream and cake were
served and favors given the little
guests.

LADIES OF CATHOLIC CHURCH
GIVE OYSTER ROAST.
The benefit oyster roast which
was given by the ladies of the Catho-
l'c church at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. T. Treanor was attended by a
large number of people. Tables were
placed in the back yard of the Trean
or home and the oysters were roast
ed over a fire and served piping hot
to the guests.

Mrs. Jack Edwards entertained
her contract bridge club on Tuesday
afternoon in honor of Mrs.
Miller, of Key West, Fla., who is

flowers and a color scheme of yellow
was carried out in the tallies and re
freshments.
After the afternoon was spent In
playing bridge, a delicious ra’ad
course was served. A beautiful guest
prize was given Mrs. Miller and top
score and low score prizes were
awarded.
