Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Bell celebrated
their Golden Wedding anniversary
Monday July 9fh.
Mr. and Mrs. Bell were married
July 9th, 1684 and a reproduction
of the write-up of the wedding which
appeared in The Union-Recorder in
the edition of July 12th, 1884 is
publ'shed below.

Presbyterian men entertain beauchamp-moore wedding
The ladies of the Presbyterian
church were honor guests on Wed
nesday evening at a barbecue sup
per at Jackson’s pond.
The meeting was the regular
quarterly gathering of the men of
the church and in keeping with the
annual custom, the ladies were the
guests at the summer meeting.
Mr. John Riley, president of the
mens club of the church, arranged
a most interesting and entertaining
program. Mr. James L. Sibley wel
comed the ladies in a most humor
ous address. Col Joe Jenkins was
the principal speaker on the pro
gram.
Thc occasion was a most delight
ful and cnjovable one.

Of cordial interest to many peo
ple in Milledgeville is the announce
ment of thc marriage of Miss Mary
Beauchamp, to Charles Dutton
Moore, of Richmond, Va. The mar
riage was solemnized on Saturday,
June 30th, in Washington, D. C.
Miss Beauchamp is the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Claude W. Beau
champ and a member of a promin
ent Virginia family.
Mr. Moore is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. John C. Moore of Richmond.
Va., and a nephew of Misses Nettie
and Mattie Moore, R. B. Moore and
Chas. L. Moore, of th ; s city. He
professor of Science in the John

Mr. Moore received his education at
