the parents of a girl, bom Monday
December 24th. The little baby has
been named Ida Jane for her two
grandmothers. She will be called
Jane.
Mr. G. E. McWhorter is at home
with his family for the holidays.

to Washington, D. C., where he will
spend this week in attendance upon
the national convention of the S.
A. E. fraternity. Mr. Allen is presi
dent of the University of Georgia
chapter.

of Mrs. L. D. Smith.
Miss Bigham is a young lady of
unusual charm and beauty. She is
a member of one of the county’s j
oldest families and has a large
circle of friends throughout the I
south. Following her graduation at'
G. S. C. W., she became a mem- J
bor of the college faculty and has I
taught there for several years. She
is a niece of Mr. J. C. Cooper.
