Mr. and Mrs. Ed Vinson Celebrate Sixtieth
Wedding Anniversary on Monday February 4
Monday February 4th was a happy, miring friends,
day for Mr. and Mrs. Ed S. Vinson; After the dinner mniniscense

to add to the joy of the occasion.
At noon a delicious turkey dinner
was served. The appointed table
was beautiful with a lace cover and
a centerpiece of talisman roses and
bronze snan dragons in a silver
bowl. Unshaded tapers cast a p
glow over the room. The happy
couple were surrounded with flow
ers that came from relatives and ad-
Mr. I. H. Fann. who has been
interested in aviation for a number
of years and was instrumental in
locating the municipal air port, is
planning the organization of an
Aviation Club.
According to Mr. Fann. the club
will be organized as early as possible
Under the planned program the
membership fee will be $100. per
year to be divided in monthly pay
ments. This fee will purchase an air
plane for use by the club. A licensed
pilot will be secured to teach the
members to fly and direct the clubs
activiteis.
Mr. Fann expects to get an inter
ested group together at an early date
to go over the details and perfect
the organization of the club. All per
sons interested arc urged .to see Mr.
Ed S. Vinson, a young and pro
gressive Baldwin county farmer,
married Miss Annie Morris and
throughout their long union they
have enjoyed the good things and
passed through the sorrows togeth
er. During the war they gave a son
to the great cause. Capt. Morris
Vinson, a valiant soldier, gave his
life for his counrty.
As citizens, as church workers, as
parents. Mr. and Mrs. Vinson have
made a great contribution to Mil-
ledgeville and Baldwin county, the
state, and the nation.
Until a short time ago Mr. Vin
son visited his farm daily and was .

moved to Macon. Mr. George Stem-
brldse will continue as manager in
the new location. The store had been
operated here about two venrs and
