The Philathea Class of the Baptist
Sunday School and the Yourg
Women’s Auxiliary held a joint so
cial Tuesday night at the home of
Miss Annie Moore on South Wayne
street. The rooms, which were
thrown t-gether for the occasion,
were decorated with red hearts and
other motifs of the Valentine season.
In the dining romo. the table was
laid with white overlaid with red
hearts :.nd in the center was a big
red heart with - Kcwpie standing
upon it dressed in red cellophane.
The Queen of Hearts, impersonated
by Miss Helen Hagan, received
Misses Anne Gibson. Lillian Dollah
and Ann Moore the guests in the
dining rot*m. and her attendants,
who were beautifully dressed in
white evening gowns served white
ice cream with red hearts in
the center, and cake and mints. In
tho living room coffee was served
by Miss Sue Cheek and Miss Helen
Hagan poured coffee. Miss Rosalind
Sheram gave a dance number, and
Mrs. C. B. McCullar. teacher of the
class, gave poetry readings.
A number of games, directed by
Miss Gibson, class president were
played. Guests of honor were Dr.
and Mrs. J. M. Teresi and Col. and
Mrs. Joe Jenkins.
