been received here a number of
former Milledgeville men who are
officers in the United States army
have received promotions in rank
effective August 1st.

SIXTH DISTRICT NURSES
HAVE INTERESTING MEETING
The usual bi-monthly meeting of
the Sixth District G. S. N. A. was
held at Ridley Hall in Macon Satur
day afternoon.
The feature of the program was
an instructive and enjoyable talk
given by Dr. Applewhite. Public
Health Dcctor of Bibb county on
“Typhus Fever and changes in Bac
teriology." Dr. Applewhite spoke of
the eticlogy. clinical symptoms, and
treatment of typhus fever.
The Sandersville nurses were hos
tesses to the group and served de
licious refreshments.
