The schedule opens Sept. 27th with
Brewtnn Parker Junior College, one
of the strorg South Georgia teams.
On the following Saturday the big
game of the schedule will be played.
The cadets will journey to Annapolis
•here they will play the Naval
Academy plebes.
Plans are being made for a special
train for this game. On the same
date Mercer will play the Naval
Academy and a plan is being worked
for the two teams to travel to
gether. A large number of citizens
have indicated a desire to make the
trip.
Members of last years team who

Downs, and Ritchie.
The G. M. C. team will present

Mrs. Lucy P. Walker has recently
purchased from Mr. W. F. Ricketson
his house and lot on West Hancock
S'reet. Mrs. Walker Is having this
house remodeled and made into a
modem home with all conveniences.
It will be ready for occupancy Sep
tember 1st. Mrs. Walker has built
and remodeled a number of homes
in this city.
Mrs. Walker has taught in the
public schools of Georgia for more
than twenty-five years. She taught
at G. M. C., where she was regard
ed as a capable, faithful, and con
scientious teacher. She has served
as principal of high schools in vari
ous sections of the state, but in
recent years has devoted her time
the management of her real estate
this city.
For more than twenty years. Mrs.
Walker has served as teacher of the
Woman’s Bible Class in the Mil
ledgeville Baptist Sunday School.
here she is greatly beloved and
appreciated.
