America a representative assortment
of which they are having shipped to
Miiledgeville. The following word-

will be i

women of Miiledgeville and vicinity.
.-In the ladies dresses draped ef
fects are stressed with much detail
on sleeves and necklines endorsed.
•Tunics and apron effects are be
ing shown. A number of jacket mod-
e! . ^de in novelty sheers are al
so important. Fur edging is used to
some extent on these frocks.
-Black and white is popular, with
grien. brown, rust and plum mak
ing U p the important group of col-
or . Rough crepes and novelty ef
fect-- predominate.
Scho ! girl woolens, in strictly
tailored frocks, are very good. Snow
flake w< rives, a range of checks, j
and plaids arc used for the most
part, although jerseys and knits are
very good. Colors in the woolen
group include navy, brown, green,
red and rust.
-In ladies and misses coats more
attention is being paid to the style
and fur treatments. Detachable col
lars and variations of the bib col
lars are -tressed, giving added ap
peal to the garments. The -dropped
shoulder with wide armholes, full
sleeves and narrow writs, is a new
style nok-. Novelty fabrics, including

peeled to go over in a big way.
Sport coats are receiving more at-
terticn than ever before because of
the new fabrics and the novelty
‘-sporty” patterns being shown. An
other outstanding feature in sport
coats is the new fishtail back, which
gives a loose fitting coat extra ful
ness from the hip to the bottom.”
‘Flying squadrons of federal
game management agents will op
erate throughout Georgia in enforce
ment cf the migratory bird laws,
declaring a closed season through
September on doves, John . S. C.
Boswell. U. S. game management
agent for the state, announced Fri
day.
“The flying squadrons" are al
ready operating and have made
numerous arrests. We will center op
erations ;or the next few days in
north and northeast Georgia.” Mr.
Boswell states.
He points out that although the
state law declares an opqp season
on doves during September, the new
federal law strictly prohibits such
shooting, and blames ignorance of
this discrepancy for the large num
ber of violators.
‘ We want to warn all hunters of
the new law. and let them know
that if they violate it wear out to
arrest them. A word to the wise
should be sufficient,” Mr. Boswell
states.
He is being aided in the drive
against illegal hunting by J. V.
Kelsey. Florida U. S. game
management agent.
