states, he should appreciate the
privileges that are being enjoyed by
the hunters In Georgia.
I assume the public is familar
with the open hunting season. How
ever. I am going to quote the open
seasons on “principal game,” that
is. the game of real monetary value
and that which can be increased
matcrialy by propagating and con
serving it. together with the bag
limit, in this article and in future
articles. Kindly compare them to
those of other states in the Union.
For instance let, me inform you.
Georgia hunters enjoy a longer
Quail season than any other hunt
ers in the United States. We have
the largest bag limit of any of the
states in the Union with the excep
tion of three, and the hunting lic
ense fee on the average is less than
that charged in other states. These
are matters that I will go in to in
later articles.
Now as to our open seasons, thc
per pic will be privileged to shoot
doves commencing September 21s 1
to October 21st inclusive, accord
ing to all the laws of thc land. Thi
season then closes until November
20th. reopens and will remain open

daily bag limit on Doves is 2!
