HIE BUSINESS WOMAN'S CIRCLE OF THE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. The Business Woman’s Circle or the Presbyterian church met with Mrs. Maude Bates and Mrs. Ethel Beaman Monday evening at the Mansicn Annex. Two new members were enrolled at this meeting. Mrs. F. M. Turner and M’s. R. E. Cotton. Plans were made tc cheer two elderly needy people oC the com munity at Christmas. MILLEDGEVILLE, GA„ DECEMBER 5, 1955 Tait, Circle Committee Chairman of Missions, had each member sign a Christmas card to be sent to a home mission worker in Kentucky. Miss Louise Albert gave an inspi rational message on the Holy Spirit. Miss Katherine Weaver, Leader of the program for the evening with Miss Tait and Mrs. R. H. Reynolds gave seasonable selections. The cli max of the program was reached when the joy gifts for the relief of aged ministers, encased in red Christmas stockings were hung on a niniature Christmas tree. Miss Wea rer closed the meeting with prayer. Mrs. Bates and Mrs. Beaman serv ed delicious refreshments. The next circle meeting will be held Monday evening. January 6th, with Misses Elizabeth and Eleanor Brannen with Mrs. Martha Sibley! presenting the program. The members cf the Milledgevilie Garden Club were entertained at ?.; beautiful tea at Wesleyan by the members of the Rivoli and Inglcsidc Garden Clubs. Beautiful green and silver smilax and red candles were, used to complete the Christmas decorations. A delightful program of music by Prof, and Mrs. Mertz and J several readings were given. The members of the Milledgevilie Club who attended were Mrs. E. E. Bass. Mrs. lone Bass Dean. Mrs. D. W. Brannen, Mrs. Fanny Griner. Mrs. M. H. Bland, Mrs. W. L. Fraley. Mrs. Sam Anderson, Mrs. E. R. Hines, Mrs. W. F. Little, Mrs. Joe Jenkins. Mrs. F. H. Harding, Mrs. J. L. Beeson, Mrs. Hungerford, of Gray. Mrs Cornelius, and Mrs. Roy Taylor. KIWAN18 MEET TODAY The Kiwania Club will meet today at the Baptist church at the usual hour of 1:15. Mr. Joe T. Andrews .retiring presi dent, will give a report on the years activities and accomplishments. Col. Jre Jenkins will become president January 1st LEGION AUXILIARY MET The American Legion Auxiliary held their regular monthly meeting Tuesday afternoon at the hone of Mrs. George Echols. Misses Bertie and Agnes Stembridge, Mi:s Clara Morris and Mrs. C. L. Moran were joint hostesses. A number of important matters were disposed cf at the meeting. The Auxiliary made plan3 to provide Christmas greetings for all ex-ser- vicse men and women at the hospi tals in the county. Miss Floride Allen, president, presided. A detailed report of the meeting will be given later. MR. J. 8. BONE RETURNS HOME The friends of Mr. J. S. Bone are delighted to know that he has re turned to his home here after spend ing several days in Atlanta at hospital there. Mr. Bone went to Atlanta Wed nesday and visited doctors, but his health has greatly improved and and he is back at his Alice again.
