Col. Joe Jenkins, president of G. M. C., said an increased enrollment wa3 anticipated in the college. After an illness of seven weeks with pneumonia Estell Elizabeth Steven.*, passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Stevens, in the southwestern part I of the county, Friday, December 2?th. Rev. J. L. Rives conducted the funeral and burial services at Bethlehem church, Saturday, De cember 28th. The child was six years old and survived by her parents and two brothers. Louis E. and James T. Stevens. Jenkins, chairman, has announced. The drive held in November fell short of the needed goal and the people will be called again to provide funds to take e of needy cases in the county during the coming year. Father T. J. McNamara will assist Col. Jenkins in directing the cam paign which'will be launched at an early date. In reopening the drive Col. Jenkins said he hoped all the people cf the city and county would take advantage of the opportunity to Rive. Miss Emmy Riley, who manages the relief office, said the funds were needed if Milledgevillc did not want suffering in this county this year.
