turned to Macon Monday to resume
her studies.

Holbrook, of Atlanta, have returned
to their home in Atlanta after a visit
to Miss Mays aunts.

as a teach in the schools there.

decorations of smilnx. holly and
vases of white carnations. In the liv
ing room an improvised altar war.

stood and said their marriage vows.
Ferns and smilax formed the back
ground for the altar, with floor bas
kets of white carnations and tall
cathedral candelabra flanking either
side.
Proceeding the ceremony Mrs.
Marshall H. Bland played a pre
nuptial program c' music. Imme
diately before the bride entered. Mrs.
Edgar Long sang. “All for You.”
The ceremony was performed by
Rev. James M. Tcresi. pastor of the
First Baptist church. The groom and
his best man, Mr. Curtis Westbrook,
entered and stood at the altar.
The brides only attendant was her
younger sister, little Miss Betty
Lawrence, who acted as junior
brides maid. Her dainty dress cf
blue tafeta was fashioned with lung
skirt nnd puffed sleeves. She car
ried a bouquet of pink roses. The
bride was radiantly lovely as she
down the long stairs and
entered the living roem. Her dress
s the same worn by her mother
her wedding day. The dress was
of white, hand embroidered chiffon,
and was most txscoming to the
beautiful bride. Her long train was
caught at the hair with a coronet
of orange blossoms. Her bouquet
?re roses and valley lillies.
Immediately after the ceremony a
short reception was held for the
bride and groom and they left by
motor Tor Miami where they will
make their home. - Mrs. Westbroks
traveling suit was of brown check
ed wool, with coat. Her accessories
ere cf shades of brown to match.
Mrs. Westbrook, since graduating
at G. S. C. W.. has taught in_St. Au
gustine and Miami. Fla., where she
has made many friends. She is one
of Milledgeville's most attractive and
charming young ladies and has a
•ide circle of friends in this city.
She is the eldest daughter of the ln*e
Mr. Ed Lawrence nnd Mrs. Law-
Mr. Westbrook is the son of the
late Mr. William C. Westbrook and
Mrs. Elizabeth O.rtor Temple, of
Miami. He is a prominent young
isiness man of Miami.

wedding trip, to Florida.
