called to the Elks Club Tuesday
morning when a gas pipe broke and
caught fire. No damage was done
and the office of the Georgia Na
tural Gas Corp., quickly repaired

Col. Gordon R. Catts, commander
of the R. O. T. C. units in the Fourth
Corps Area, headquarters at Fort
McPherson, spent Monday at G.
C. and watched the cadets in their
drills and inspected the college prop

The visit of Col. Catts is prelemi-
nary to the Honor School inspection
in April. While heie Col. Catts was

been delayed until a later date.
Mr. Nix is in Washington and will
return to Georgia until the latter
part of this week. He will probably
fill his engagements here next week.

day and will be observed here by
the banks and post office. Business
houses requiring pay rolls are asked

business Friday.

window will be opened for one hour
at 11 o’clock.
