SEN. GEORGE LUGES MARKET RETORTING SYSTEM FOR STATE i Washington. D. C.—A state-wide , market rejwrting system, designed • to give Georgia improved and stab- | lized prices for hogs and cattle, and balance one section with another. J is contemplated in a program for! the farm development of Georgia! mapped out by Senator Walter F. j George, of Georgia, who will urge I adoption of the plan by the Depart- I men*, of Agr iculture. The method, would insure more money for hogs' and cattle in most sections of the state and show greatly increased re turns in many localities. The extensive growth of the live stock industry in Georgia is com parable only to that of the most ““ advanced and progresrive agricul- CS tura: dates, it is declared, and q charging fanning conditions have Q cans-- increased production of live- o stoc : -. in all sections of the state. II However, market quotations hare II show-- wide variance in prices and II it is iyh-ved that a state market re- j |l porting system will not only obtain ! 0 larg- 'r increased revenues for pro- , Q due.---, but will also furnish an in-, O cent re for further development of the industry. So i?tor George, in his statement, declared that the new era in agri culture ir. Georgia makes it impera-, 6 t : ve f -r the farmers tc be given .he||| advantage of even,- possible resource i O to increase returns on p-oduction JII end !;? predicted that the nroposedjll marketing facilities would provide II an venue by which this objectively cou! i be obtained. The system would j O sav*» any community against de- ; Q pressc-i prices on all occasions and j • prov.de a constantly safe and steady ill market for offerings throughout the | II state || •lowing the consolidation of all | •- ca.»t in the Democratic Pn-1 j last Wednesday by the Demo- ic Executive committee it was J •jled that 165 votes were cast j this number 92 were in the city -net !! precincts were opened except I'V'th district The voting was pold weather and the fact there was no opposition to the - dates keeping most o.’ the poo- wav from the poles.
