Conn were called to Covington Wednesday be cause of the serious illness of Mrs. Conn’s father. Mr. Perrv. who was not expected to live through the night. MISS ANNE BONE ENTERTAINS AT BRIDGE PARTY. Miss Anne Bono was hostess to a number cf her friends at a delight ful bridge party at her home on Montgomery street on Saturday af ternoon. Jonquils and spirea were used in effective arrangements throughout the house. After several progressions of bridge were played, delicious re freshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Adams are both employed at Allens Invalid Home and have many friends who wish for them a long happy life to gether. Of cordial interest to a wide circle of friends throughout Central Geor gia is the announcement of the mar riage of Miss Carolyn Moate, of Devereaux, to Mr. A1 Flemming, of Waycross. Hie marriage was solem nized in the presence of a few dose friends last Friday by Rev. Horace Smith, pastor of the Methodist church. Miss Moate is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luther B. Moate, of Devereaux and has been a promin ent member of the younger sodal contingent of this section for sev eral years. She was very popular and made many friends on frequent visits here. She attended Wesleyan College. Mrs. E. V. Jordan, Jr., spent the week-end in Clayton. Misses Lillian Stiles, Margaret Yarbrough, Flor- Moran and Elizabeth Fraley met her in Athens Sunday and ac companied her home. Capt. Wilbur Vinson has been {transferred from the staff and com mand school at Fort Levenworth, Kansas to Fort Jay on Governor’s Island. N. Y. Mrs. Vinson and little son will accompanied him to the new* post later in the spring. Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Jordan, parents of Mrs. J. T. Terry, observed their 56th wedding anniversarv on Wed nesday March 11th at their home in Wigham, Ga. Mr. and Mrs. Jordan have many friends here who extend their best wishes and congratula tions.
