Tse storm Sunday night, among other
things, scattered a portion of the frames
of the windows to the fifth story of the
new Factory. They had just been placed
in position, and the masons had not built
the walls up enough to protect them from
the violence of the blow. It will take but
little time, however, to replace them.

The swarm of “Hoppers” that visited
Columbus on Friday night, and an ac
count of which wo gave on Saturday
morning, appeared in Macon at about the
same hour in the night of Saturday—
twenty-four hours later than their advent
here. If it was the same “crowd," their
course was east, and their siwed of flight
about four miles per hour. If it was an
other and an independent army, It augurs
a larger membership of the “Hopper"
family than we have ever before met in
this section. It is rather strange that
nothing was seen of them about here un
til they grew to full size and strong of
wing. The Western variety commence
small, and cat their way up, until they can
fly off.

the newly plowed ground, is somewhat
