By Allah groat X swear.
Be'a growling around aa ho always la.
And hla men aro aoroaa the Pruth-
H*l I'll put a uiuzale aoroaa hla phiz
And pull out hla over/ tooth.
I ll ralaa aloft myOreaout and Star.
And my lrnn-olada out I'll haul;
I'll summon my trusty Baahi-Bazouka.
And burathia Protocol.
I'll block hla little "outrage" game,
And hla envoys shove! off.
And give my ahipa a chance for about
With an Admiral Mouteteff.
I'm after those Montenegrins sure.
And I menu to give 'em rats.
And see how they'll stand a dose of the same
They got at Alexlnatr.,
This hlghtoued civilization Idea
Will never go down, you see.
I'll murder and kill aa I've always done;
And that's what's the matter with me.
I've been bothered by England and Germany,
Aud every petty throne
In the "Eastern question" takes a hand
That neither dare play "alone,”
My back la up! I’m off on a tear!
No more in their words I'il truat.
And I’ll have It out with that blasted Bear;
It's "Hush her now or bust."

Hiram H. Clarke, a son of the late ex-
Gov. Clark of Maryland, lived with his
family near Madison, Monroe county. He
had contracted for a piece of land from a
man named Alexander, on which he had
established his home. He had made sev
eral payments on his farm, but had flailed
to make the others when they became
due. Alexander sued for the possession
of the land, and it was awarded to him
by the law. Clark said he would sooner
die than give up his home. Constable
Cliff Wade was sent with a posse of men
to dispossess Clark Clark and his lamily
refused to move. The coustable and his
men moved his goods and chattels out
into the yard. Meantime Clark sat in a
chair, with a revolver cocked and lying
on the table before him. It was very late
when the constable finished moving the
goods Irom the house, and Clark's family,
which consisted of his wife, two grown
up sons, and several small children, had
nowhere to lay their heads. They were
permitted to remove some beds back into
the house, on which they slept during the
night. And until the hour of daylight,
while the constable and his men kept
watch, Clark still sat with his revolver
cocked before him.
With the dawn of day the crisis came.
All the family had left the room. Every
article of furniture except the chair ou
which Clark sat, and the table on which
his revolver lay, had again been moved
out.
“Old man,” said the constable, “every
thing has been moved out. Ii is now time
for yon to go.” The constable and one
of his men, Mont Kilcy, moved toward
Clark to eject him. Clark quickly cover
ed the body of the constable with his re
volver, which he suapped. Before he
could cock his pistol again the constable
and his man had fired three shots, and
the stubborn old man fell dead.

The Albany Evening Journal (extreme
Republican) gives the colored voter ol the
South some good advice, and then con
cludes with the following very correct
observations:
"We cannot be worse oft with the ex
periment and we may be much better oft.
Let us give the South home rule. Let us
permit intelligence and property to have
their natural sway. Let us not force igno
rance and incapacity to the top. Let us
have the Federal Government reqresent
ed by honorable and high minded men.
We have placed the blacks on their feet
and given them full political rights. Let
us teach them that they cannot always
depend on the Federal arm, hut must de
pend upon themselves. Let us seek especi
ally to relieve the South from constant
turmoil and Open the path to higher ma
terial prosperity. The forces which, by a
different course, have been consolidated
against us, will in this way sooner or
later be dissolved.”
Steel Ships.—The London Times
says that “ the determination of the gov
ernment to construct, not experimentally,
but wholesale, several war ships of steel,
is a sufficient indication that one of the
most obstinate difficulties in shipbuilding
has been overcome,” Dr. Siemens having
succeeded in producing a quality of steel
ti i lor the purpose.
Hr. Sclicnck’s standard Remedies.
The standard remedies for all diseases
of tne lungs are Sehenck’s Pulmonic Hyr
up, tSehenck’s Sea Weed Tonic, aud
bclienok’s Mandrake Pills, and if taken
before the lungs are destroyed, a speedy
cure Is effected.
To these three medicines Dr. J. H.
Schenck, of Philadelphia, owes his unri
valled success in the treatment of pulmo
nary diseases.
The Pulmonic Syrup ripens the mordid
matter iu the lungs; nature throws It off
by un easy expectoration, for when the
phlegm or matter is ripe a slight cough
wld throw it off, the patient has rest aud
the lungs begin to heal.
To enable tbe Pulmonic Syrup to do this,
Sehenoli’s Mandrake Pills and Sch-nck's
Sea Weed Tonic must be freely used to
cleanse the stomach and liver. Schenck’s
Mandrake Pills act on the liver, removing
all obstructions, relax tbe gall bladder,
the bile starts freely, and the liver is re
liev.sd. .
Sehenck’s Sea Weed Tonle is a gentle
stimulant and alterative; the alkali of
which It is composed mixes with the food
and prevents souriDg. It assists tbe di
gestion ky toning up the stomach to a
healthy condition; so that the food and
the Pulmonic Syrup will make good
blood, then the lungs heal, and the patient
will surely get well If care Is taken to pre
vent fresh Gold.
All who wish to consult Dr. Schenctt,
either personally or by letter, can do so at
his principal office, corner of Sixth and
Arch, streets, Pniladelphla, every Mon
day.
Schenc'ks Medicines are sold by all
druggists throughout the country.

False Impression.
It is generally supposed by a certain
class of citizens, who are not practical or
experienced, that Dyspepsia cannot In

Dyspepsia and Liver Complaint in all its
forms, such as Sour Stomach, Costive
