Meat Thief Arrested,
Borne days ago Ki Lewis, colored, who
lives a tew miles out tn this county, killed
a lot ot begs, getting Ranee Hutt, colored,
to assist blm bi cleaning them and packing
tbe meat away. That night some one
dug under tbe smoke bouse, stole and
carried away a part of tbe meat. Tracks
corresponding to Rance's were found. He
was arrested, a portion ol tbe meat being
found In bls possession. He was arrested
by negro bailiff* deputiz’d by Justice
Oobb, and being brought before him tor
trial, was put under a 8360 bond, falling to
give which be was sent to jail.
