met yesterday at the Library ro ins. The
meetlug wau opened by the President,

programme of Ilia day was agreed upon
as follows: First, Hint no orator was to be
had on tiro occasion, the day tailing on
S inday, but memorial services would be
h ild at the cemetery, Bev. Walker Lewie

Second—Each Sunday-school is reques
ted to march in procession to the cemetery

child bearing lu the hand a wreath or
il >wer. Each school is also requested to
prepare a song to ba sung at the cemetery.
An organ will be carried out and placed at

Atlanta, March B.—William H. Howell,
brotner of Evan P. Howell, died to-nlgnt
at the residence ot Evan P, Howell, West
End, after an Illness of several weeks.
The deceased, years ago, was a member
of the city council ot Atlanta, and more
recently was connected with the Agricul
tural Department of the State, tilling the
position ot Inspector ot fertilizer at savan
nah. Last summer he went to Montana
Territory and engaged in cattle raising,
where he remained until the severe weath
er ot this wluU i caused him to return to
Atlanta. Walls there he contracted a
severe cold that settled ou hie lungs and
brought ou consumption, which was the
cause of bis death. For the past tew days
hie condition was realized as hopeless by
his friends who called to inquire after bis
condition. The deceasflil was known all
over the State, and wherever known we
greatly liked ou account of his msny trait-'
of good character.
Mr. W. H. Howell a brother ot Colonel
Evan P. Howell ot the Atlanta Constitu
tion died lu Atlanta al the reside uce of
Oolouel E. P. Howell ou Tuesday night.
Mr. Howell had arranged to settle In the
lar cold West and had spent a lew months
lu Montana, hie new home, but h« tound
the climate too severe aud came back to
Georgia, but not until he had counseled
the terrible disease, oonnumpuou; that
destroyed his lite, and bore his spirit
away.
