Below we publish a note from Mr. J, W.
Cameron, which speaks tor itself:
Columbus, Ga., March 17—Mrs. Mollie
McCoy Is a widow lady with three chil
dren, deoendsni upon her for support.
Her husband died tn Arkansas about a
year ago, when she came to our city with
tbe hope ot obtaining work in some of the
factories for her oldest child, a boy 12
years of age, and sewing herself to
support her family, but has fallen short
in her expectations. Her demeanor Is
evidence that she is a deserving woman
and unaocustomi d to battling with an
uncharitable puolic. I write this tn the
hope that you will give It publicity, and
that It may reach the eyes ot our gener
ous ladles wbo have sswlng of any kind
to have done, feeling satisfied they will
lend a helping band to one ot their needy
sex.
Mrs. McCoy can be found in the Pwree
