the "Adoration ot the Msgl." This Is also
a very beautllul work of art and compares
q-tally with the eastern tranaepL In the
apse behind the altar, ate two small wiu

distrebsed cotton industry, by send
ing us nearly 60 per cent tn re cotton
than two years ago, and 25 per cent,
more than last, year; and this at a
time when there ts a great falling off
in the supply from America, India
and Brazil—indeed, from all sources
xcept Egypt. The following are the
receipts at Alexandria and Bombay
since September Ist, the beginning
of the season;
“Alexandria. In 1884-85, 3,035,000
cantors; In 1883 4, 2,435 000; and in
1880 83 2,081.1X10. B tnbav. In 1884 5.
31(1.01X1 bales; in 1882 4, 532.000; and
in 1882 2, 509,000 bales. From Brazil
the imports to Great Brifaln since
September let have been 76,000, and
io 1883-84 they were 116.000; and in
