We cannot at once reconcile ourselves to this bereave ment. Just fitted for admi. ion to the Bar as a practicing Attorney, with a mind clear and strong, he would have been an ornament to the profession, he must hare risen rapidly, and success would have as certainly crowned his efforts as that he had lived to enter the great arena ot hu man iilc. lie never received an idea eontusedly, he caught it at once and distinctly, ills mind was well disciplined and he was a ripe scholar. He never readjiuw simply for admission, but to understand it, and be prepared to go forward with ability when lie was admitted. But to what end was all his labor? lie lias passed away ! and wilt be seen on eaith no mom forever lie met his j death as becomes a man.
